Episode 27 – Origins of the Dorks
We’re still managing to keep the weekly podcasts coming. We think that’s pretty impressive. This time around, Charles, Hannah, Jon, Nick, and Megan discuss things with virtually no nerdy content. If you were wondering, in Japan, brie flavored Doritos are a thing. We discuss food (including this horrible video of a person drinking a 20 year old bottle of Crystal Pepsi) and our childhoods. Nick and Hannah have opinions about living around Amish. Megan reveals her sociopathic roots. Take a listen and find out where this diverse group of nerds come from.
What is the best Girl Scout cookie? Let us know in the comments below.
To summarize, Charles and Megan are from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Jon is from Fargo, Nick is from The Blair Witch Project, and Hannah just comes from a place too isolated to be stereotyped by Hollywood, but Silent Hill comes close.
It is, in fact, true – Davis, CA has a toad tunnel designed to let frogs cross under a busy street.
Check out this news report about Mormon Island being revealed thanks to the seriously low water levels in Folsom Lake.
And then there’s Centralia, PA which is atop a still burning coal fire.

Out of all ya’ll’s musings about food, I will say that Lebanon bologna is super awesome, as is the occasional spam meal. The rest I think I will pass on for sure!
I still have yet to experience spam – though I remember Charles laughing when we saw it was offered at a McDonnalds in Hawaii!
