Megan’s Week in Geek – RETURN OF THE GEEK
I want to thank Hannah for filling for me on Week in Geek while I was out re-living my childhood in Disney World – I’d like to say that I will be going back to re-live magic, but it’s really for the rides. 🙂
For this week, i’ve been digging into audiobooks and filling the gaps in my nerd repertoire (a good selection can be found here! – NPR’s sci-fi / Fantasy flow chart); so I am a little disappointed that it’s not entirely possible for me to do something like THIS –> to point out where rocks fall and everyone dies!  (Also, Good lord George R. R. Martin – your last book is going to just be a scribe reading the names and ringing a bell of all the dead. It’s going to be a book the size of Return of the King).
Hannah set the precedent of finding ridiculous animals on the internet, so I have to present to you: National Geographic’s article on “Remote Rain Forest Expedition Finds 60 New Species“, including this little guy. I think this dude should be re-named, dang mother nature, you’re really freaky.
If you missed this week, the AMA on reddit with the folks from Cards Against Humanity, I highly recommend going back and reading through – it’s funny and informative! Such as, how many people knew before that AMA that there was a secret foil card, hidden in the lid of the Bigger Blacker Box? Anyone? crickets chirping Seriously… How did they keep that a secret since PAX?
Also up with CAH, The next expansion set is out and available for consumption! Only $10 on Amazon. Just a hint of the cards, i’m going to leave this here for you. Have a great weekend!
PS – IF YOU HAVE A NEW CONSOLE THIS WEEKEND, REMEMBER TO DRINK FLUIDS AND OCCASIONALLY BATHE. 🙂
